They should consult the South Africans who hammered out the current South African constitution and brought an end to Apartheid. South Africans have proved that democracy combined with an
equal rights constitution works and protects all citizens without the need for partition.
For this to become a reality in Cyprus the main requirement is that Turkey gives up it's territorial ambitions regarding Cyprus and this it seems will be the main stumbling block. They seem so determined to have a piece of Cyprus that they seem willing to lose the whole of Europe instead.
