Warsaw - UEFA head Michel Platini was due to visit Warsaw on Wednesday before Europe's governing body decides on which cities will host Euro 2012 matches in Poland and Ukraine.
The tournament could be played in up to eight different cities. UEFA will make its final decision on May 12 from among a dozen candidate cities on which are ready to host the prestigious championships.
The nine-strong UEFA delegation was due to visit the National Stadium in the capital and meet with football league officials, government representatives and Euro 2012 organizers.
Poland will propose five cities to Platini, according to the daily Wyborcza: Warsaw, Gdansk, Krakow, Wroclaw and Poznan.
Platini was in Ukraine on Tuesday to check up on Kiev's progress, which has been thrown into doubt after delays caused by the world financial crisis.
