Madrid - The only two questions still to be decided in the Spanish Liga are: who will finish fourth, and thus qualify for the preliminary round of the Champions League, and who will be relegated?
Brilliant Barcelona are already champions, Real Madrid will finish second, Sevilla will almost certainly end up in third place.
With just two games left, Sevilla - who are at home to Deportivo Coruna on Saturday - have 64 points, Atletico 61, Villarreal and Valencia 59.
Atletico - who have won their last four games - are away on Saturday to an Athletic Bilbao side who have little to play for.
'We know,' said Atletico midfielder Raul Garcia on Wednesday, 'that if we win our last two games we will finish fourth, the same as last season. That is our objective.'
Leading the Atletico attack, as always, will be Diego Forlan, who is just one goal behind Barcelona's Samuel Eto'o in the scoring charts, 28 to 29.
Four years ago Forlan, then playing for Villarreal, came from behind to snatch the top marksman award from Eto'o on the last day - to the fury of the little Cameroonian.
Eto'o, to his frustration, will not be allowed to play on Saturday at home to lowly Osasuna. Barca coach Josep Guardiola has said that he will rest all of his first-teamers, ahead of next Wednesday's Champions League final against holders Manchester United.
Saturday's most compelling match will be between local rivals Villarreal and Valencia - with fourth place possibly at stake, if Atletico Madrid slip up.
'We cannot afford to drop any more points,' said Valencia veteran Ruben Baraja on Wednesday. 'Our only option is to win in Villarreal, which will not be easy.'
All of the games of the 37th round will be played on Saturday, except the rather meaningless clash between Real Madrid and Mallorca, which is scheduled for Sunday.
On Wednesday Real's unpopular director of football Pedja Mijatovic was finally forced out. The Madrid sports papers are full of rumours about which coaches and stars will be coming to the Estadio Bernabeu next season.
Saturday will see several tense relegation clashes, with bottom team Recreativo Huelva playing hosts to Racing Santander, and second-from-bottom Numancia away to lowly Getafe.
Sporting Gijon, meanwhile, will be away to Valladolid, whilst troubled Betis will make the short trip south to face Malaga.
Espanyol, who are almost safe, are away to Almeria, where Hugo Sanchez is making such a good impression on the bench that he has joined the long list of possible coaches for Real Madrid.
