Swedish stone-cutter reclaims gravestone over unsettled bill
Jun 1, 2009, 14:08 GMT
Stockholm - A police complaint of theft has been filed against a stone-cutter in the Swedish province of Smaland after he allegedly reclaimed a gravestone from a graveyard, local media reported Monday.
The complaint was filed by the partner of the deceased man.
'You can't steal something you own,' the stone-cutter told local radio, saying he had demanded payment for a year to no avail.
The grave is marked by a stand and a flower holder. A dispute between relatives may have delayed the payment of 10,000 kronor (1,300 dollars), the media reports suggested.
