'Estonia has had a fractious relationship with Russia since the small Baltic state regained its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.'
=====================
This is BS, Russia itself regained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 as well.
Estonia was on the side with Hitler Nazis during WW2 and Russians remember atrocities done to Russians by Estonians during WW2.
They believe fourth Reich (Anglo-American) will last thousand years!
proud serbian is off the mark. In 1939 Hitler and Stalin signed the 'Non-aggression pact' effectively carving up Europe between themselves. They split Poland and anything east of that line of demarcation was to go to Stalin. In 1940 the USSR invaded the Baltic states bringing with them all the benefits of Russian imperialism larded with Stalinism. I think that one can understand Estonia's sentiments.
