Swedish foreign minister misses out on "family photo" (Extra)
Jul 1, 2009, 13:03 GMT
Stockholm - In line with tradition, commissioners and Swedish cabinet members Wednesday lined up for an official photo as Sweden assumed the rotating presidency of the European Union - but with Sweden's foreign minister missing.
Just as European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt arrived to complete the lineup on the waterfront outside the Stockholm City Hall, Foreign Minister Carl Bildt apparently received an urgent phone call.
As photographers went to work, Bildt was seen talking on his mobile phone in the background. 'He got an urgent phone call,' Reinfeldt later told reporters.
