Istanbul - Four construction workers were killed and nine other men were injured in a landmine explosion in south-east Turkey on Monday, the Andolu news agency reported.
Authorities blamed the banned separatist Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) for the attack in Sirnak province near the border with Iraq.
A vehicle carrying workers who were building a dam and roads in the area triggered the mine that had been planted along a road in the province.
Sirnak is at the centre of the conflict between the Turkish army and the PKK, which been has been fighting for independence since the mid-1980s.
