Austrian farmer runs over wife with tractor, dumps her in cesspit

Vienna - An Austrian farmer was suspected of murdering his wife Wednesday by running her over with his tractor and dumping her body in a cesspool, the police authority of Upper Austria province confirmed.
After the 52-year-old man killed his 51-year-old wife on his farm in Schiedlberg, some 30 kilometres from the provincial capital Linz, he started to run amok.
He went to his neighbour and told him, 'I ran over my wife and she is dead.' But when the neighbour came to look, the suspect chased after him with the tractor, police said in a statement.
The farmer then pushed his wife's body into the farm's cesspool.
He fled the scene in his car, but was detained after piling head-on into an ambulance car rushing to his farm.
