Kessler joins Sauerland stable

Copenhagen - World Boxing Association (WBA) supermiddlewight world champion Mikkel Kessler has joined German promoters Sauerland Event, the boxer said Thursday.
'I had a lot of very good offers from all the big promoters and have decided on the best which came from the Sauerland team,' the 30-year-old Dane said in Copenhagen.
'I can't wait to get back in the ring and have great fights.'
Kessler's last fight was on October 25, 2008 when he knocked out the German Danilo Haeussler in the third round. Kessler is next expected to make a mandatory title defence against Gusmyl Perdomo of Venezuela.
