Jul 25, 2009, 11:56 GMT
Berlin - The German military is looking for an imitation bomb, dropped over Germany by a Belgian F-16 fighter jet during a training flight at the start of the week, Berlin said Saturday.
'The search is still on,' for the 50-centimetre-long training bomb weighing four kilogrammes, a German Defence Ministry spokesman said.
The dud munition is thought to be in the vicinity of the town of Cloppenburg, in the state of Lower Saxony.
The German air force has requested a clarification of the incident from its Belgian counterpart.
