Grave of Serbian WWII guerrilla leader located after 60 years

Belgrade - The approximate location of the grave of Serbian World War Two guerrilla leader Dragoljub Draza Mihailovic has been discovered more than 60 years after his death, Serbian media reported Thursday.
Mihailovic, the leader of the Serbian nationalist movement in World War Two which fought against first German and then Allied troops, was tried by the Communists on July 17 ,1946 and executed along with seven followers.
The Communists, who took power after the war, never revealed the location of the grave, fearing pilgrimages of his supporters.
However on Thursday the daily Novosti reported that the national Search Commission had received information from the Military Intelligence Agency on the location of Mihailovic's grave.
'This is the first time that any state agency has given us concrete data on the liquidation and burial of general Mihailovic. Now we can start digging up the location,' the daily quoted one unnamed member of the Commission as saying.
According to the information from the military intelligence, Mihailovic was buried at the entrance of the popular leisure area Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade, where a prison for political prisoners had once been.
Members of the Commission said that it is only a matter of days before Mihailovic's remains will be found and buried properly.
