Search continues in Mediterranean for crashed French pilot
Sep 25, 2009, 8:52 GMT
Paris - Ships and helicopters from the French Navy and Coast Guard continued their search Friday for one of two Navy pilots whose Rafale fighter jets crashed into the Mediterranean.
One of the pilots was soon found and plucked out of the water. He was said to be in good condition. However, an all-night search for the second pilot proved fruitless.
The two pilots were taking part in a training mission when their jets plunged into the sea late Thursday about 30 kilometres east of the city of Perpignan.
