Favre attends Hertha crisis talks
Sep 28, 2009, 14:13 GMT
Berlin - Swiss coach Lucien Favre's position at Hertha Berlin remained uncertain Monday after attending crisis talks at the Bundesliga basement club.
There was no official word on the outcome of the talks, which came a day after a 5-1 defeat at Hoffenheim left Hertha languishing at the bottom of the table with three points from seven games.
Favre, 51, has so far received the backing of the club's management after Hertha's worst start to the season since 1990/91 when the team was relegated.
While Favre remained silent Monday, assistant coach Harald Gaemperle blamed the players for Hertha's plight.
'The players have let down the coach, the club and the fans. They have never trained under such a good coach,' he said.
