Campaign against neo-Nazi fashion in Czech Republic
Nov 1, 2009, 12:26 GMT
Prague - A campaign against neo-Nazi fashion is to be launched in the Czech Republic, under the slogan 'Do you know what you're wearing?' according to a media report at the weekend.
Posters with the words: 'No support for neo-Nazis. Don't wear their clothes!' are part of the nationwide campaign that has the support of the government.
'One sees the classic skinhead, but the fashion of the ultra-right is relatively inconspicuous,' Miroslave Mares, an expert on extremism told the weekend edition of the Lidove noviny.
The campaign lists 10 clothing labels which it describes as favourites among neo-Nazis, according to the newspaper. Many of the retailers sell their wares through department stores that sell to young people who are unaware of the clothing's association with right-wing extremists.
