Munich held 1-1 by Schalke as teenager Matip scores

Hamburg - Teenager Joel Matip scored in his Bundesliga debut as Schalke 04 played to a 1-1 draw at Bayern Munich on Saturday.
Matip, 18, headed home a freekick from Lukas Schmitz shortly before halftime to cancel out Daniel van Buyten's opening goal in the latest setback for Munich.
The result leaves Munich stranded in eighth place with 20 points while Schalke are fourth with 22 points. Bayer Leverkusen lead the way with 26 points from a 4-0 demolition of Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.
Elsewhere, champions VfL Wolfsburg won 2-1 at TSG Hoffenheim, Mainz 05 defeated Nuremberg 1-0, VfL Bochum lost 2-1 to SC Freiburg while Borussia Moenchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart drew 0-0.
