Brazilian Ze Roberto out for rest of year
Nov 26, 2009, 12:20 GMT
Hamburg - SV Hamburg midfielder Ze Roberto will be out for the rest of the year, his Budesliga club announced on Thursday.
The Brazilian international was recovering from an injury on his right leg that he sustained two and a half weeks ago, but it was not healing sufficiently and the club has decided that the 35-year-old should undergo an operation, which will rule him out for at least four weeks.
'We can do nothing about it. We decided on a conservative approach to his treatment, but it did not have the desired effect,' Hamburg coach Bruno Labadia said.
The Brazilian is due to fly to Zurich later Thursday to undergo the operation.
