Chiellini operated after nose fracture
Nov 30, 2009, 13:24 GMT
Rome - Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini on Monday successfully underwent surgery to treat a nose fracture suffered at the weekend and should be available for Saturday's top-billing match with Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
The Juventus web site reported that Chiellini, 25, is to resume training Wednesday wearing a protective mask.
The international suffered the fracture Sunday during a game Juve lost 2-0 at Cagliari, which dropped the Turin side eight points adrift of Inter.
