German police kill man in attempted robbery

Berlin - German police shot dead a 19-year-old man Thursday during an attempted robbery at a petrol station.
Police said the death of the man followed a shoot-out at the petrol station in the small town of Leimen in the west of Germany.
The victim's two alleged accomplices, aged 20 and 19, were taken into custody following the incident, which occurred in the early hours.
The two police officers involved in the shoot-out were not injured.
