Prague - Former Czech international Patrik Berger, a member of the 1996 European Championship final team that lost to Germany, ended his active football career over persisting knee problems, his club said Wednesday.

Berger retired from international football in 2001, after scoring 18 goals for the Czech Republic's national team.
