Victor Fernandez returns as coach of fallen giants Betis
Jan 27, 2010, 12:14 GMT
Madrid - Fallen Spanish football club Real Betis announced on Wednesday that Victor Fernandez was returning as coach.
Fernandez, 49, takes over from Antonio Tapia, who was sacked on Monday. His first term at the Seville club was 2002-2004.
Popular Betis, who were in the Champions League five years ago, lie seventh in the second division and desperate to return to the top flight, from which they were relegated last May.
'I am very happy and full of hope. I have only one objective in my mind: promotion,' said Fernandez, who has been out of contract since being sacked by Zaragoza a year ago.
