Rome - Serie A leaders Inter Milan go into Wednesday's first semi-final of the Italian Cup against Fiorentina with the advantage of a day off as snow cancelled their Serie A game on Sunday at Parma.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho is likely to have Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o in good form after his return last week from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Portuguese trainer may again field goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, who usually replaces Brazilian Julio Cesar in cup games, despite last week's blunder in a 2-1 quarter-final win over Juventus.
Fiorentina arrive at the Giuseppe Meazza for the first-leg match after a 2-2 draw salvaged away to 10-man Cagliari.
Coach Cesare Prandelli has lost his Romanian striker Adrian Mutu, who failed a drug test for the second time in his career, but has Brazilian forward Keirrison de Souza Carneiro on loan from Barcelona, who this summer had loaned him to Portugal side Benfica.
Roma, who face Udinese face on Thursday, are now lying level with AC Milan in second place in Serie A, although both the Devils and runaway leaders Inter have a game in hand.
Roma had to struggle until the final minutes to edge bottom side Siena 2-1 as coach Claudio Ranieri missed Francesco Totti, Luca Toni and Mirko Vucinic up front.
'We must have (them) back,' Ranieri told Radio 1 on Monday. 'We'll see if, beginning today, Totti can rejoin the team, along with Vucinic. Toni has still to continue his therapy (for a pulled muscle).'
The Udine visitors eliminated Milan with a 1-0 win at the Giuseppe Meazza, but struggle in the Serie A and remained one point above the three-team drop zone after a 1-1 draw at third-from-last Catania.
The second-leg matches of both semis will be played on April 14.
