One dead in attack on Spanish soldiers in Afghanistan

Madrid - An attack on a Spanish unit in Afghanistan has resulted in the death of one soldier, Spanish public radio station RNE reported on Monday.
A further six soldiers were wounded when their vehicle struck a mine in central Afghanistan.
The soldiers were supposed to be guarding a United Nations World Food Programme aid convoy.
