Lehmann keeps his options open
Mar 13, 2010, 13:32 GMT
Gelsenkirchen, Germany - Former Germany goalkeeper Jens Lehmann, whose contract with VfB Stuttgart expires at the end of the season, said that he is keeping his options open.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper said Friday night after his side lost 2-1 at Schalke 04 that he had already discussed the matter at home. 'But the discussion is not yet closed.'
An option for Lehmann, who joined Stuttgart from Arsenal, could be joining Major League Soccer (MLS).
A week ago Lehmann said that he could imagine extending his career by another year. 'One never knows what happens. Possibly something exotic could happen.'
