Gloeersen, Bjoergen complete Norway sweep

Oslo - Marit Bjoergen and Anders Gloeersen completed a triumphant weekend for Norwegian skiers by winning the freestyle cross-country sprints at the Holmenkollen on Sunday.
Bjoergen, who won three golds, one silver and one bronze at the recent Vancouver Olympics, followed up her 30-kilometre victory Saturday with another impressive performance before the watching Norwegian royal family.
Bjoergen posted 3 minutes 01.8 seconds over the 1.3 kilometres to edge Kikkan Randall of the United States and Natalya Korostelyeva of Russia both by 0.8 seconds.
Gloeersen meanwhile got the better of Russia's Alexey Petukhov in a photo finish, both clocking 2:53.9 over 1.5 kilometres in the men's sprint, with Olympic gold medallist Marcus Hellner of Sweden 0.8 seconds back in third spot.
All four events of the weekend went to Norwegian skiers, with Olympic champion Petter Northug winning Saturday's 50km.
Northug leads the overall standings on 1,285 points after 27 of 31 events. Lukas Bauer of Czech Republic has 902 and Hellner 759.
Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland leads the women's standings on 1,786 ahead of Petra Majdic of Slovenia on 1191 and Aino-Kaisa Saarinen of Finland on 999.
