Bielefeld lose four points over licence violation
Mar 16, 2010, 15:56 GMT
Bielefeld, Germany - Arminia Bielefeld will lose four points over violations of licensing procedures, the German football league DFL said on Tuesday.
The second division club was also fined 50,000 euros (68,500 dollars) and has accepted the punishment, the DFL said in a statement.
Bielefeld recently announced they lacked 2.5 million euros for the current season. The four-point deduction makes a return into the Bundesliga difficult for the club as they trail the promotion area by six points.
