All euro states to chip in for Greece, Van Rompuy says (Extra)

Brussels - Every one of the 16 states of the eurozone is ready to lend Greece money if it is necessary to keep the country from default, the European Union's president said Thursday.
Herman Van Rompuy was talking after chairing meetings of euro and EU leaders, who agreed on a financial safety net for Greece, to be used if the country finds it impossible to borrow on money markets.
'All the members of the eurozone said that they would be willing to participate in the mechanism. This is very important,' Van Rompuy told journalists in Brussels at the end of the first day of the EU's regular spring summit.
The summit had been meant to discuss long-term economic planning, but instead focused largely on the Greek issue.
