Indian film Vihir wins German Bollywood festival

Stuttgart - A drama about a young man on the search for missing cousin earned top honours Saturday at an Indian film festival in the southern German city of Stuttgart.
Vihir - The Well won the prize at the annual Bollywood and Beyond festival. Its director Umesh Vinayak Kulkarni won the German Star of India award and a 4,000-euro (5,160-dollar) prize.
The best documentary film went to The Great Indian Jugaad for its portrayal of the resourcefulness of the Indian underclass in everyday life. Best animated film was awarded to Tanko Bole Chhe - The Stitches Speak.
More than 50 films were shown at the seventh annual festival in Stuttgart, which along with concurrent industry meetings has been dubbed by organizers as one of the most important Indian film festivals outside India.
