Barcelona's Ibrahimovic back in Sweden squad
Aug 3, 2010, 14:31 GMT
Stockholm - Barcelona forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to appear for Sweden in an upcoming friendly against Scotland, Sweden coach Erik Hamren said Tuesday.
'It is great to have a motivated Zlatan, and we all know his qualities,' Hamren said at a news conference.
Hamren included Ibrahimovic in his 20-strong squad for an August 11 friendly against Scotland that is Sweden's last tune-up match before the Euro 2012 qualifiers begin.
The 28-year-old forward took a break in November, saying he lacked motivation to play for Sweden after they failed to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and there were no other important matches.
Sweden begin their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign on September 3 against Hungary. The group also includes World Cup finalists Netherlands, Finland, Moldova and San Marino.
Hamren was named successor to Lars Lagerback who stepped down in October after Sweden's unsuccessful qualifying campaign.
