Barcelona defender Milito out for two weeks
Oct 18, 2010, 22:42 GMT
Madrid - Spanish football champions Barcelona announced late Monday that defender Gabriel Milito will be out of action for around two weeks, after tearing the abductor muscle in his right thigh in training.
He will miss Wednesday's Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen and Liga games against Zaragoza and Sevilla.
The absence of Milito will oblige veteran captain Carles Puyol, 32, to continue at the heart of the Barca defence, despite his own muscle problems.
Milito, 30, was out of action for almost two years after a serious knee ligament injury in 2008, and has failed to regain full fitness since then.
