Innsbruck, Austria - A Polish climber died and two compatriots are missing on Austria's highest mountain, the Austrian News Agency APA reported Monday.
The body of the 52-year-old was found a by a mountain rescue team late Sunday, 100 metres from the summit of the 3,798-metre Grossglockner.
Initial reports indicated the man had frozen to death.
The trio were part of a five-member group that set out on Saturday morning to scale the mountain.
Two members of the team reached the summit in the evening and returned to their base, but the others were apparently hampered by bad weather.
Rescuers were searching for the two missing climbers, aged 23 and 24.
