Struggling Bielefeld release coach Christian Ziege
Nov 6, 2010, 15:42 GMT
Augsburg, Germany - Arminia Bielefeld released coach Christian Ziege from his duties on Saturday, immediately after a 3-0 defeat at Augsburg left them at the bottom of the second division.
Ziege, 38, was earlier given an ultimatum of having to win two of the next three games, but has already lost the first two and thus will not be able to meet the ultimatum.
The former Germany defender had originally signed a two-year contract at the relegated Bundesliga club in summer and was in charge for just 11 league games.
