Dusseldorf - Norway's b-team saved face for the Scandinavian nation with victory in a cross-country ski team sprint on Sunday after the a-team got caught in a crash.
Anders Gloerssen outlasted Sweden's Emil Joensson on the home stretch to win with Ola Vigen Hattestad for Norway II in 19 minutes 56.6 seconds. Sweden were second and Italy third.
John Kristian Dahl of Norway I and Josef Wenzl of Germany appeared set to battle it out for victory by holding a big lead but fell in a final-turn collision to open the door for the others.
The women's race on the banks of the River Rhine saw Magda Genuin and Saturday's individual winner Arianna Follis on top for Italy in 10:41.1 ahead of Norway and Canada.
