Czech Pirate Party launches its own WikiLeaks
Dec 21, 2010, 18:05 GMT
Prague - The Czech Republic's Pirate Party launched on Tuesday PirateLeaks.cz, its own take on the WikiLeaks website that has been publishing scandalous secret documents.
The site's founders said they intend to shed light on the doings of Czech bureaucrats by publishing government documents hidden from public view.
The authors vowed to keep whistleblowers' identities anonymous and instruct them on how to safely file potential confidential dossiers.
The website, which is in Czech language only, has so far posted a proposal to amend a copyright law, which the Pirate Party has previously failed to officially obtain from the Culture Ministry.
