Nesta joins AC Milan's injured list
Jan 24, 2011, 16:12 GMT
Rome - AC Milan's defence mainstay Alessandro Nesta is to be sidelined for at least three weeks following a shoulder injury suffered at the weekend during a Serie A game.
The club's website reported Monday that the 34-year-old was to begin a recovery therapy to treat his left shoulder, which he was operated on in December 2006.
A club's medical official said that a possible operation can, if needed, be postponed to the end of the season.
Also sidelined for the next three weeks are midfielders Gennaro Gattuso and Dutchman Clarence Seedorf, both already missing late Sunday when the league leaders beat Cesena 2-0 to move four points clear of chasers Napoli.
The Devils welcomed Monday at their training camp new arrival Urby Emanuelson, a 24-year-old Dutch left-winger bought from Ajax.
'He is a dynamic player, with good technique,' coach Massimiliano Allegri said. 'Beside, he will be the only left-footer in our team. I think he is an important purchase.'
