Report: Penelope Cruz gives birth to boy (Roundup)

Madrid - Spanish Hollywood actress Penelope Cruz, 36, has given birth to a boy in the United States, Spanish media reports said Wednesday.
The baby was born was born at the weekend, shortly before Bardem was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's film Biutiful, the weekly Hola reported.
Cruz's actor husband Javier Bardem was present at the birth at an exclusive Los Angeles clinic, the daily El Pais said. Cruz's mother and siblings were also at the clinic, according to Hola, which published photographs of them and of a smiling Bardem arriving at the hospital after the birth.
Cruz had reportedly travelled to the United States at Christmas. The couple wanted the baby to born in the United States in order for him to get duad Spanish-US nationality, according to Hola.
Bardem's mother, Spanish actress Pilar Bardem, declined to confirm the report. Cruz's representative in Los Angeles said she did not have 'any kind of information.'
Cruz and Bardem, 41, who married in the Bamahas in July 2010, have fiercely protected their privacy.
Cruz won an Oscar in 2009 for her supporting role in Woody Allen's film Vicky Cristina Barcelona, a year after Bardem won an Oscar in the same category for his performance in the Coen brothers' movie No Country for Old Men.
Cruz's earlier partners have included Hollywood actors Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaghey.
