Munich to host Schalke in Cup semis
Jan 30, 2011, 17:38 GMT
Frankfurt - Holders Bayern Munich were on Sunday drawn to host Schalke in the German cup semi-finals, ruling out a dream final between the two sides.
Instead, the winner will meet a second division team in MSV Duisburg or Energie Cottbus, who play the other semi-final.
The semi-finals are scheduled for March 1 and 2 and the final in Berlin takes place May 21.
Munich have lifted the trophy a record 15 times in 17 finals. Schalke have four titles in 11 finals. Duisburg and Cottbus have not won the competition. Hanover are the only team to win the cup as a second division team, in 1992.
