Ballack misses training with knee injury
Feb 13, 2011, 15:57 GMT
Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer Leverkusen's Michael Ballack has been forced to rest after complaining of a problem with his left knee, the club said Sunday.
Ballack missed training Sunday and a scan has shown an irritation of the left knee joint but no serious damage.
It was not immediately clear if the 34-year-old midfielder would be able to take part in the next training session on Tuesday.
Ballack has only just returned from a fracture just below the left knee. He was on the substitutes' bench for Leverkusen's 3-0 win at Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
