Warsaw - A Polish man who was fired from a coal mine hid underground for 42 days because he wanted to avoid confronting his family, local media reported Wednesday.
'It's hard to live without a job, and things aren't going well with my family either,' Roman Zurek told the tabloid Super Express.
Zurek was found Tuesday in an unused part of the coal mine in Ruda Slaska, in southern Poland, and immediately hospitalized for dehydration.
He was fired in September and was reported missing by his family two months ago, when he decided to hide underground.
