May 17, 2011, 9:19 GMT
Moscow - Russian police on Tuesday arrested a man suspected of murdering an acquaintance and then eating portions of his body, police said.
A Moscow police spokesman said the suspect was registered with authorities as psychologically unstable.
The suspect told police he killed his friend on May 2 and later ate the man's liver after stewing it, the spokesman told the Interfax news agency.
Police began looking for a possible cannibal in Moscow's western Dorogmilovsky district on May 4, reportedly after city refuse collectors discovered human remains.
