German soldier killed in Afghanistan

Berlin - A German soldier was killed in an attack in Afghanistan on Thursday, the German army said in Berlin.
A further five soldiers were injured in the attack on a tank, which took place around 36 kilometres south of the city of Kunduz, two of them seriously.
The soldier is the fourth German to be killed in Afghanistan in less than 10 days.
On Saturday two German soldiers were killed and a senior NATO official, German General Markus Kneip, northern Afghanistan commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), was injured in a bomb blast.
Last Wednesday another German soldier was killed in an attack on a patrol in the northern province of Kunduz.
