Madrid - Spanish football giants Valencia have signed winger Pablo Piatti from relegated Almeria, according to media reports on Wednesday.
These reports said that Los Ches have paid around 8 million euros (11.6 million dollars) for the diminutive Argentine.
Piatti, 22, joined Almeria from Estudiantes in 2008. He would be the second Almeria player to join Valencia this summer, after Brazilian goalkeeper Diego Alves. Their other summer signings so far have been Adil Rami from Lille and Dani Parejo from Getafe.
Meanwhile, Valencia have allowed defender David Navarro, 31, to leave on a free transfer to Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax, as part of the policy of coach Unai Emery to offload several unwanted veterans.
