Three Turks killed in road accident in Serbia

Belgrade - Three Turkish nationals were killed in a road accident in Serbia early Monday, police said.
The accident occurred on a highway just south of Belgrade after midnight when the driver of the German-registered car lost control at high speed.
The vehicle overturned several times after veering off the road.
The E75 highway that links Western Europe with Turkey and Greece via Belgrade, Skopje and Sofia is usually congested in the summer months.
Serbia implemented tougher traffic laws in June 2010, which led to a 4-per-cent drop in the number of road accidents, according to official data.
However, more people have died in road accidents in Serbia in the first six months of this year than in 2010. Figures released by the national traffic safety agency show 281 road fatalities, 12 per cent more than over the same period last year.
