Report: Serbia's final war crime fugitive arrested

Belgrade - The final Serbian war crime suspect wanted by the United Nations war crimes tribunal in The Hague, Goran Hadzic, has been arrested, the Serbian national television station RTS and other local TV channels reported Wednesday.
Hadzic, 52, was one of the leaders of a Serb insurgency in Croatia from 1991 to 1995, in the wake of the disintegration of former Yugoslavia.
He is wanted by the UN's International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia on charges of crimes against humanity and violations of the laws or customs of war.
UN prosecutors hold Hadzic responsible for the execution of 264 Croatian prisoners at Vukovar in October 1991 and other war-time atrocities.
Serbian President Boris Tadic is due to hold a press conference shortly.
Hadzic was the last of the fugitives from ICTY still on the run. Serbia arrested Bosnian Serb general Ratko Mladic, wanted on charges of genocide, in May and extradited him to The Hague.
