Populist Polish politician found dead, suicide possible

Warsaw - Polish politician Andrzej Lepper, who founded an agrarian party before his image was tarnished in a sex scandal, was found dead in his office on Friday, local police said.
It appeared the 57 year-old had committed suicide, according to police.
Lepper had hung himself and was later found by a coworker, the Polish Press Agency reported, citing anonymous sources.
In 1992 Lepper founded the Self Defence party, notorious for the loud anti-government protests it organized and for staunchly defending farmers' rights.
Lepper was convicted last year of demanding and accepting sexual favors from female members of his Self Defence party in 2001.
The politician - a farmer by trade - was deputy prime minister and minister of agriculture in 2006 and 2007. He was dismissed from government in 2007 on suspicion of corruption.
