Former Germany defender Hinkel trains at Stuttgart
Aug 9, 2011, 11:33 GMT
Stuttgart - Former Germany defender Andreas Hinkel is training at VfB Stuttgart but sports director Fredi Bobic will not promise him a return to the Bundesliga side.
Bobic said on Tuesday that Stuttgart have two right backs in Khalid Boulahrouz und Stefano Celozzi and that there is no guarantee that Hinkel will get a contract if he makes an impression.
'The issue was hyped, Andreas doesn't deserve that. Everything else will be decided over the next weeks,' said Bobic.
Hinkel, 29, has been out of contract since last month after three seasons at Glasgow Rangers, of which he missed the last with a severe knee injury. The 21-times capped Hinkel played in Stuttgart until a 2006 move to Spanish club Sevilla.
