First day at school for Norwegian prince
Aug 18, 2011, 11:55 GMT
Oslo - Norwegian Prince Sverre Magnus arrived Thursday for his first day at school, accompanied by his parents - Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit - among others.
The mother of the five-year-old prince helped carry his rucksack to the Janslokka School in Asker, not far from the family's home in Skaugum outside Oslo.
Sverre's grandmother, Queen Sonja, also accompanied him to the school where his sister, Ingrid Alexandra, 7, was waiting with other pupils to welcome the first-graders.
The prince's 14-year-old step-brother Marius was also a one-time pupil at Janslokka School but has since transferred to another school.
