Czech agriculture minister sacked
Oct 4, 2011, 15:23 GMT
Prague - Czech Prime Minister Petr Necas in a surprise move Tuesday sacked Agriculture Minister Ivan Fuksa, in what Fuksa said was political differences of opinion.
President Vaclav Klaus has to still formally confirm the removal of Fuksa, who has been in office less than 15 months.
The 48-year-old politician is expected to be assigned to a regional wing within the centre-right ODS party. He has recently spoken out against the extension by six months of Necas' two-year term as party leader.
In addition, the two partners of the ODS-led government coalition criticized a planned call for tenders for state forestry administration.
