German almost crushed to death in rubbish lorry
Oct 9, 2011, 15:22 GMT
Kassel, Germany - A 22-year-old German man who fell asleep in a rubbish bin narrowly escaped death by crushing when bin men heard his cries for help, according to police.
After coming home drunk from a party on Friday night, the man had fallen asleep in a paper recycling bin and didn't even wake up when it was emptied into a rubbish lorry early on Saturday.
The bin men had already moved on to the next stop and had activated the rubbish compression facility. The man only woke and began to shout for help when the compressor injured his arm.
He sustained further injuries to his legs but his condition was not life-threatening, police said.
