Turkish military reports 49 Kurdish fighters dead in two days

Istanbul - Two days of fighting have left 49 Kurdish militant fighters dead, reported Turkish military officials Saturday.
The operation against the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) began Wednesday after a bombing attack left 24 security personnel dead. Since then, the Turkish military has mobilized 10,000 troops, some of whom are striking at PKK facilities in Iraq.
