Oct 27, 2011, 12:51 GMT
Bonn, Germany - The German Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) wants to introduce a blood pass for high-performance athletes in all sports from next year on.
NADA chair Andrea Gotzmann said on Thursday that the body plans to expand the blood pass programme from selected sports to all athletes and is in talks with the World Anti-Doping Agency over the issue.
'We hope to start in six months ... We have their (WADA) support and the technical means,' Gotzmann said.
So far only selected sports use the WADA blood pass programme for their athletes.
